Balloons are wonderful for play. My sons love hitting, tossing, and bouncing them. Balloons are also great for using in science experiments. We have used balloons to make launchers, boats, and rockets. Here is a simple STEM activity for kids. We will show you how to make static electricity with balloons.

This is one of the easiest balloon science experiments for preschoolers, kindergarteners, and up. It is easy and fun to do. If your children like balloons, this is the activity for them.

Below is what’s needed for this activity

Balloons

String (at least 30 inches long)

Tape

Wool or 100% Polyester Fleece sweater

Below is a video showing you step-by-step how to do this fun experiment. It comes from my son’s YouTube channel, Corban’s Fun Learning Adventures. Please subscribe if you like what you see.
