We love chemical reactions! Today we have a fun activity for you. It is a simple chemical experiment to do at home. We call it the Tube Lava Volcano. It uses household materials such as….
We learned about this experiment from our local science center. My son liked this activity so much, he conducted the experiment twice. He also wanted to make a video about it.
Below is a video from my son’s YouTube channel, Corban’s Fun Learning Adventures, showing you step-by-step how to do the Lava Tube Volcano. If you enjoy the content, please like the video and subscribe to the channel.
There is so much to see in this experiment. They will see that water and oil do not mix. Also, your kids will observe how Alka Seltzer reacts with water and oil. Ask your children if the food coloring mixes with the oil or water. Furthermore, have them note what happens once the dish detergent is added to the mixture.
Have fun with this awesome chemical experiment to do at home!
